Paul Speaks to the Church of Thessalonica

“To the church of the Thessalonians in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ: We always thank God for all of you an continually mention you in our prayers. We remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.”

In the early church, its expansion and its success began with a thing called prayer. Are you praying for your church, your leaders, your country?  The time is now to make a difference. Remember the value of prayer and do not overlook the power it has!

Vows

Tonight I watched my daughter get married on the beach with the sunset as a backdrop. I’m so appreciative to the One that gives us life and hope and the one that will watch over my daughter and son-in-law as they navigate this thing we call life! It was a beautiful ceremony and I look forward to watching them in the years to come. During the ceremony, balloons were let go representing those that went before and one was for my father, Phil Stenger. You’ll see the balloons in the sunset in the feature picture. Seemed fitting that I share it on SunsetPrayer.org for you to share in and enjoy!

No Vow is greater than the one the Father made with us: “And this is the testimony, that God has given us eternal life. He who has the Son of God has life and he who does not have the Son of God, does not have life.” Have Him and live in the promise!

Stepping Out, Stepping Up

I spent the last month putting in crazy numbers of steps in a Step Competition sponsored by the company I serve. Many nights my prayer time was during my stepping and many nights the sun set as those steps were occurring. I had a wonderful time of reflection and prayer. During that time we had a request come in for youth that were heading out on a mission trip. I had a great time remembering those kids and praying for the ministry they would provide and would receive!

Even as I walked along the city streets, often in rain, it was hard denying the beauty God has so graciously provided us. The image here was just one of many I captured during my walks.

The Same Sun

Tonight I saw a post from my buddy Ralph that said: “Watching the sun tonight. I stopped and thought, this is the same sun that Abraham, Isaac, King David, Jesus and so many others in the Bible also watched. Just a thought”. When I read it to Connie, she said yes, “it’s the same Sun/Son for everyone”.
